Track Name: war song
it's a war, it's war
and you can't be waiting for a right side to win / fatalism is the mark of a modern religion / and overshadows the want to be rather than how we've been.

and i'm sure, i'm sure
you still care and your heart isn't lying in greed / before it was born we had everything that we need / and with no reasons there is no reason to concede

and you can't hold me down, no you can't hold me down
it goes around and around, not waiting to be found

and for what it's worth, for what it's worth
there have been moments of unparalleled fear / there was a day when I was stripped of everything dear / and all I contain is nothing I can hold near

and what's it for? what's it for?
i tell you it's not day trading or when the politicians lie / it's not for me to say the people that will catch your eye / and whatever role you play will not require a disguise.

and what's more, what's more...
nobody could say there was a chance that you'd win, its not how you end as much as how you begin, it's not how you end as much as you begin.
Track Name: second wind
exit wounds don't hurt so bad once you've had your time to heal / it's the universe's way of saying it's not through with you.

and your heart is yours to keep if you're glad enough to have it / otherwise she'll leave you just the way you left her.

chorus: oooh oooh in a second wind

don't you pack all your stuff, it's never enough, because before long, you'll just return to the same place you've come from.

and you should stop thinking your glass as fragile as your continued charm, everybody once in a while, will get boring.

and you will take a risk and miss and try again
and you will take a risk and miss and try again
and you will take a risk and miss and try again
Track Name: your money
your money was never safe / and discerning look comes across your face / it was never meant to replace your mother's heart

and you can climb up all the ladders / but will you find what matters / or look below to see the ground's been shattered, shattered

and you are free to hide behind your currency, but it's not free to hide behind your currency, and while you're free to hide behind your currency, it's only currently.
Track Name: who knew?
four o'clock on a saturday night / the party begins to fade / the party host meant to keep it light / but could not afford the barricade

and all the party guests are all passed out / but we just sat there on the couch / it was alright / it was all right.

and who knew that's what you wanted to move closer to me, and who knew, that's what you wanted, to have what you wanted, we had what we wanted that night.

alcohol just lost it's effect / the bar was out of wine / and we acted like we just met / or maybe it was the second time.

fixated on the pulse of your breath / i wonder how you think / hold up let's not get too confident yet / we wouldn't want this ship to sink

Track Name: sides
I don't know what I look like coming out from the other side
whose to know or to care what you think of me really
and i never had to prove myself to anybody anyway
all that matters is that i still believe in what I do and say

and the mind receives it's healing
and the earth rises up
and my body comes back to life
and the I becomes another
and then I go back to the other side.

I don't have to talk in the language the speak and hear in
I find my own way to walk nothing can steer me
and plenty of people think that I'm all types of vain
perhaps the borderline between insane and sane

so you are always coming out from the other side
that's okay that's no reason to run or hide
so we are always coming out from the other side
guess what it might not be exactly what you desire

Track Name: ode to baba
so you wish you were a little bit younger than you are right now / a little bit more confused a little less aware but you don't know how / and your life will flow in one direction and that is out / to sea of ecstasy not without your doubts

and you'll come again in waves / looking for a place to stay / right here, right now, right here, right now / be here now

so you're still working the same old job you said you quit by now / not sure of the next step but you take them anyhow / no sense in sitting on the sides lines waiting for a ref to call foul / there are no guards on the shore and there are no time outs.

Chorus 2x
Track Name: sweet jane (vu cover)
Standing on the corner,
Suitcase in my hand
Jack is in his corset, and Jane is her vest,
And me I'm in a rock'n'roll band Hah!
Ridin' in a Stutz Bear Cat, Jim
You know, those were different times!
Oh, all the poets they studied rules of verse
And those ladies, they rolled their eyes

Sweet Jane! Whoa! Sweet Jane, oh-oh-a! Sweet Jane!

I'll tell you something
Jack, he is a banker
And Jane, she is a clerk
Both of them save their monies, ha
And when, when they come home from work
Oh, Sittin' down by the fire, oh!
The radio does play
The classical music there, Jim
"The March of the Wooden Soldiers"
All you protest kids
You can hear Jack say, get ready, ah

Sweet Jane! Come on baby! Sweet Jane! Oh-oh-a! Sweet Jane!

Some people, they like to go out dancing
And other peoples, they have to work, Just watch me now!
And there's even some evil mothers
Well they're gonna tell you that everything is just dirt
Y'know that, women, never really faint
And that villains always blink their eyes, woo!
And that, y'know, children are the only ones who blush!
And that, life is just to die!
And, everyone who ever had a heart
They wouldn't turn around and break it
And anyone who ever played a part
Oh wouldn't turn around and hate it!

Sweet Jane! Whoa-oh-oh! Sweet Jane! Sweet Jane!
Track Name: no-one to blame
our minds rhyme, and glow when they aren't distant, there's still time, before we come to miss it, yeah it's that feeling we almost never get, the initial moments of meeting someone we've sworn, we've once before met.

so we took our time and put it into this haze
the only exit is an all way entrance to a never ending maze
we argue all the time that this isn't just a phase
yeah we say we'll all be fine but i'm pretty tired of the phrase

now my candle's out and the people around me have begun to shout, without using words. and amidst the confusion the only conclusion is that the sole solution is that there is no-one, and no-one to blame

so fight on, so fight on

and write poetry, write it with me, and write poetry, write it so you can be seen.
